In support of South African wines and wineries. Let’s come together and support the South African wine industry. I’m tasting a Pinotage 2018 ( Blend of 90% Pinotage, 5% Grenache and 5% Cinsault) from Man Family Wines, South Africa.
MAN Family: Established in 2001 with 3 companions and their spouses. The wines are in the name of their wives. Their wines are delivered by an astonishing group. Some are family and others have become family. The organization is additionally upheld by a gathering of grape cultivators from the Agter Paarl area. A scope of good mixes like Chenin blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and sparkling brut are likewise created by the association.
Wine: A medium bodied wine with milder Pinot noir like attributes of Pinotage. Ruby red in shading with traces of purple. Exceptional smells of mocha and broiled espresso with kinds of red berries, nutmeg and sort of spice on the sense of taste. The grapes are sourced from Agter Paal grape plantations which gives the wine a fruity character with gentler tannins. The wine is matured in American Oak barrels. The bosstok pinotage develops near the ground, giving it lower yields of concentrated flavourful grapes. The grapes are sourced from the Coastal area.
