The winery : 1882 to the current day. The notable Tuscan winery by the Piccini family. Established by Angiolo Piccini and his wife Maria Teresa. They purchased 7 hectares of land outside Poggibonsi and made 7 tremendous wine bequests. An account of difficult work, harmony and remarkable winemaking by the four ages of Piccini family. It is perhaps the most inventive and dynamic organization in Italy. Today the organization is driven by Mario Piciini, supported by his sisters Martina and Elisa and youngsters. Degustação de vinho. Especial Wine Tasting: Portuguese wine for the first time. I like everything about the wine. Tinta Roriz 2018, “Convento Da Glória, Lisboa, Portugal.

A light bodied wine, strong on the nose with smoky smells and matured fragrances, following with smells of dull natural products. Matured for a half year in oak barrels. 100% Tinta Roriz. Tannins marginally on the higher side. Sweet on the sense of taste with an impact of zest. The wine has astounding woody and developed flavors. 

Lisboa Wine Region: The winery is situated at the Lisboa district of Portugal. It is the home to the country’s capital’ “Lisbon”. A winemaking district situated along Portugal’s Atlantic coastline. The locale’s most renowned wines come from Alenquer. The moderate environment of Lisboa helps in creating extraordinary wines. 

Tinta Roriz/Tempranillo: One of the uncommon grape varieties gifted on both sides. The Spanish call it Tempranillo and the Portuguese call it with two unique names, Aragonês and Tinta Roriz. Wines made with this grape varietal are rich and exquisite with phenomenal earthy notes.

Malbec, Bodega Santa Julia. Zuccardi Family.

The most fresh vintage, 2020. I’m tasting Malbec 2020 by Bodega Santa Julia, Zuccardi Family, Maipu, Mendoza, Argentina.

The winery is situated 40 kms from the city of Mendoza. Since 1950, the Zuccardi family has been making wine and has constructed a condition of craftsmanship giving a few recreation administrations. Bodega Santa Julia offers outstanding tourism offerings in the district.

Julia Zuccardi, the granddaughter of the family, is the overseer of the estate. Bodega Santa Julia was made to pay tribute to Julia Zuccardi, the third era of the pioneers from the Zuccardi family. The winery delivers the greatest wines through maintainable practices.

Wine: Malbec 2020. Malbec is a red wine grape currently better known as the iconic wine grape of Argentina. Bardolino, Zenato Winery

Bardolino 2017 (Denominazione Di Origine Controllata) by Zenato Winery, Veneto, Italy. 1960 to the current day.

Zenato’s: A story of family, hard work, energy, individuals, innovativeness and amazing winemaking. Over 60 years of winemaking with energy and enterprising vision of Sergio Zenato and family. The wine domain is situated in an area that surrounds lake Garda. Today the grape plantations reach out for 95 hectares between San Benedetto di Lugana and S. Ambrogio di Valpolicella. Rosso and Bianco Shiraz, 2016 by , Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Napa Valley, California, USA.

The winery is situated in the historic Napa Valley. In 2016 a land was bought which in the end became Francis Ford Coppola Winery. The six time academy award winning director reshaped his winery in 2010. The winery highlights wine sampling bars, entertainment services, a film display and significantly more things to do. The grapes are painstakingly chosen by a group of youthful winemakers, ensuring that their wines are appreciated everywhere in the world. The group’s prosperity has extended from Abruzzo to Puglia, Campania, Basilicata, Sicily and Tuscany. 

Montepulciano D’Abruzzo: Montepulciano is a red wine grape developed in the Abruzzo locale of east Italy. The wines made with Montepulciano grape varietal have botanical and spicy notes. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wines are delegated as Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC). The locale and grape has procured a standing as the most widely exported Wines. The grapes are grown in all the four territories of Abruzzo: l’Aquila, Chieti, Pescara and Terano. 

Vini Fantini: A full bodied wine with the smell of  red fruits and vanilla. Intense red in shading with garnet features. A very even wine with tannins marginally on the higher side with great finish.

Pinotage. Man Vintners

In support of South African wines and wineries. Let’s come together and support the South African wine industry. I’m tasting a Pinotage 2018 ( Blend of 90% Pinotage, 5% Grenache and 5% Cinsault) from Man Family Wines, South Africa. 

MAN Family: Established in 2001 with 3 companions and their spouses. The wines are in the name of their wives. Their wines are delivered by an astonishing group. Some are family and others have become family. The organization is additionally upheld by a gathering of grape cultivators from the Agter Paarl area. A scope of good mixes like Chenin blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and sparkling brut are likewise created by the association. 

Wine: A medium bodied wine with milder Pinot noir like attributes of Pinotage. Ruby red in shading with traces of purple. Exceptional smells of mocha and broiled espresso with kinds of red berries, nutmeg and sort of spice on the sense of taste. The grapes are sourced from Agter Paal grape plantations which gives the wine a fruity character with gentler tannins. The wine is matured in American Oak barrels. Limited Selection, Carmenère 2017, D.O Valle de Colchagua by Montes Wines, Chile.

30 years of excellent winemaking. 1987 to the current day. Viña Montes was brought into the world in 1988 by the incredible commitments of the relative multitude of accomplices with a dream to take Viña Montes to an ever increasing number of nations. Herederos Del Marqués de Riscal, Tempranillo, Vintage 2016 by Marqués de Riscal, Elciego, Spain.

Bodega Marqués de Riscal: Established in 1858, the primary Rioja wine to be packaged. Their set of experiences is an account of an organization which changed the viewpoint of winemaking and it kept on changing the universe of wines. Pushing forward during the nineteenth century, the organization delivered various classes of wines and presented significant grape varietals. Towards the beginning of the twentieth century, “The City of Wine” was planned and was initiated in 2006. It’s created to investigate the history of Bodega from its origin to the present day. 

Wine, Winery and Tasting: The winery is situated in Elciego in the south of the Rioja Alavesa. The winery covers all the significant focuses across the zone. “Wine and Tasting”: A light to medium bodied wine with extreme, dark cherry tone. A mix of Tinta de Toro, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fresh on the palate with causticity on the lower side.

Connoisseur special, Escudo Rojo official Gran Reserva Shield, 2017. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah and Cabernet Franc grape varietals, by Baron Philippe De Rothschild, Chile.

BPDR: In memory of Late, Respected Baroness Philippine De Rothschild, Mathilde Camille, a French vintner. Four extraordinary valleys and six staggering grape assortments. BPDR in the last part of the 1990s chose to make wines in Chile. Having outstanding climatic conditions, Chile’s central district produces wines that uncover the pith of Chilean articulation. 

Tasting: Escudo Rojo is the Spanish interpretation of the German “Rote Schild”. The wine shows genuine spirits of winemaking. Developed in one year old oak barrels for a year. With great notes of red and dark fruits, the wine likewise uncovers notes of espresso. It conveys a slight earthy and smoky note too. A mix of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet franc, 38% carmenere and 20% Syrah. Ground-breaking on the nose and rich on the sense of taste.
